At the heart of these images lies the figure of the passer-by, going with the flow of urban life, a figure which the artist has been fascinated with since the beginning of his career. Here, it is blended with the other motives which emerge later, like textual “signs” – street signs, posters, information boards etc. – or almost abstract fragments, as well as rather unusual elements, for example certain photographs capturing the sky.
