The artistic interest of Gregor Neuerer lies in the reciprocal relationship between production and reception of visual everyday materials. The Vienna-based artist understands photography as a “recording medium” which does not only store and transport information about specific issues, but is primarily used as a normative tool within a social context, which determines possibilities for action within depicted spaces and landscapes.
