With ‘eruption’, media and photo artist Michael Najjar showcases the explosive power and transformative energy of volcanoes. Taking the eruptions of the Fagradalsfjall volcano in March 2021 as his starting point, the artist explores geological processes between destruction, renewal and creation. His works invite us to understand the earth as a living organism in which natural forces, climate change and human intervention collide in a complex field of tension.
