Die moderne Pariser Architektur ist Ausgangspunkt der neuesten Fotoserie von Matthias Hoch. Bei mehreren Paris-Besuchen in den letzten zwei Jahren hatte der K\u00fcnstler Gelegenheit, in Vororten wie La <\/span>D\u00e9fense<\/span> ein reichhaltiges Material f\u00fcr die Erforschung und kritische Analyse des urbanen Raums, in dem wir leben, zusammenzutragen. Diese umfassende Auseinandersetzung mit der Stadt beruht indes eher auf der f\u00fcr Paris charakteristischen Vielfalt architektonischer Formen als auf irgendeiner politisch motivierten Fragestellung. W\u00e4hrend der K\u00fcnstler in fr\u00fcheren Arbeiten oft die rasch voranschreitenden Ver\u00e4nderungen in der ehemaligen DDR behandelte, blickt er in seiner neuen Serie \u00fcber die Grenzen des eigenen Landes hinaus und betrachtet die Formensprache moderner Stadtentwicklung in einem gr\u00f6\u00dferen Kontext. […] Seine Fotografien enthalten viele banale, scheinbar belanglose Einzelheiten […], doch das Kameraauge habt diese Einzelheiten auf eine andere Bedeutungsebene und verleiht ihnen die Ausdruckskraft von Skulpturen.<\/span><\/p>\n
