In der f\u00fcnfteilingen Lambda Print Serie “balance of mind” posiert Judith Huemer im Studio vor der Kamera. Dem Diktat des Komperativs entzieht sie sich, indem sie das aufbegehrende Individuum durch ihre K\u00f6rperrhetorik aus der zwanghaften Selbstbez\u00fcglichkeit l\u00f6st und in einen virtuellen Raum wirft. Einmaligkeit und Originalit\u00e4t von analog im Studio produzierten Fotografien treffen in “balance of mind” auf die digitalen Optionen der Reproduzierbarkeit.<\/p>\n

Judith Huemer <\/strong>tritt erneut die reale, performative und in weiterer Folge mediale Reise an, die sie zun\u00e4chst auf den Mexikoplatz und den Brunnenmarkt in Wien f\u00fchrt. Auf diesen Umschlagpl\u00e4tzen diverser Kulturg\u00fcter aus aller Welt entdeckt sie farbenpr\u00e4chtige Decken aus welchen sie kuschelige Overalls produziert und die sie sich f\u00fcr ihre Performance vor der Kamera \u00fcberzieht. Judith Huemer schl\u00fcpft selbst in die Rolle der Akteurin und stellt sich der Herausforderung, den K\u00f6rper in unterschiedlichste Posen zu bringen.<\/p>\n

In den aus dieser Studiosession resultierenden Fotografien sind der K\u00f6rper und das Gesicht der K\u00fcnstlerin v\u00f6llig verh\u00fcllt und dadurch nicht mehr identifizierbar- eine kulturkritische und zugleich inspirierende Reflexion \u00fcber die M\u00f6glichkeiten der k\u00f6rperlichen Manipulationen durch gesellschaftliche Handlungsrituale und durch die Medien gelangt hier zum Ausdruck.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Ausgangspunkt meiner mehrteiligen Fotoserien ist das K\u00f6rperliche und die menschliche Bewegung. Das Interesse Bildwelten zu kreieren, die von einer Dynamik aus Richtungswechsel und \u00dcberlagerungen, aus Detailsch\u00e4rfen und Stoffunsch\u00e4rfen bestimmt werden. Sowohl in der Bildkomposition als auch in der Positionierung der Fotos verzichte ich auf ein definiertes Oben und Unten.<\/p>\n
