Loredana Selichar consists of 25 unique works that, in analogy to the title, depict the outlines of 1 to 25 one-gram weights on light-sensitive photographic paper, each one corresponding to its retrospective weight. The photogram technique used here dates back to the early days of photography and, as a camera-less process, is characterized by partial, direct exposure through the immediate, physical contact between object and paper, as well as by a restricted colour palette (most commonly a black-and-white contrast). By pricing the works per gram, an attempt is made to enable the purchase of a precise quantity \u201cof photography\u201d.
